Antique Micromosaic Pendant 800 Silver Circa 1910 Handmade with Chain Rare Item
For sale is an exceptional collector’s item:
A rare, antique micromosaic pendant from around 1910.
While micromosaic pieces from this era were often set in brass or base metals (frequently as souvenir jewelry),
this piece impresses with its high-quality setting in 800 silver. The pendant features a floral motif with a precision that is rarely found today.
Craftsmanship: The micromosaic stones (tesserae) are extremely finely set and form a vibrant bouquet of flowers.
Delicate Setting: The frame is adorned with intricate silver beads and filigree embellishments that highlight the handcrafted nature of the piece.
The pendant is accompanied by a matching antique flat curb chain (also stamped 800 silver). This type of chain is characterized by its particularly flat and comfortable fit against the skin. Despite its delicate appearance, it is very sturdy due to its curb link construction.
Both the pendant and chain are stamped 800 (guarantee of silver authenticity).
Dimensions of the pendant: approx. 3.25 cm (height including bail) x 2.0 cm (width).
Length of the chain: approx. 43 cm.
The piece of jewelry is in excellent antique condition.
The mosaic stones are complete and securely set.
