A delightful, very beautiful antique large silver Art Nouveau brooch,
\ncirca 1910, by Theodor Fahrner, Pforzheim (attrib.)
\ncentered with a set, cut oval amethyst,
\nsurrounded by cord wire soldering,
\nsurrounded by vine leaves and leaf panicles, with grapes
\nwhich, in their design, appear to be freshwater pearls
\nbut are made of silver.
\nThe brooch is elaborately handcrafted in openwork
\nwith a sturdy, solid form, quality workmanship.
\nThe hook clasp was added later
\nand unfortunately positioned improperly over the hallmark.
\nI tried as best I could to photograph part of the hallmark
\nthat is still visible;
\nthe design is typical of Theodor Fahrner.
\nIndistinctly stamped: 935 and TF hallmark<\/p>\n
In good, beautiful condition, hook replaced

\nist aber aus Silber gefertigt.
\ndie Brosche ist in aufwendiger Handarbeit durchbrochen gearbeitet
\nin stabiler massiver Ausformung, Qualit\u00e4tsarbeit
\nder Hakenverschlu\u00df wurde sp\u00e4ter erg\u00e4nzt
\nund leider unsachgem\u00e4\u00df \u00fcber die Punze positioniert,
\nich habe versucht so gut es ging, einen Teil der Punze,
\ndie noch sichtbar ist, zu fotografieren,
\ndas Design ist typisch f\u00fcr Theodor Fahrner.
