Hermann Hirzel war Maler, Radierer, Grafiker und Zeichner Schweizer Herkunft.
Er erhielt die Silbermedaille auf der „Internationalen Kunstausstellung“ in Rom,
Viele seiner Radierungen (landschaftliche Originalradierungen und Lithografien) sind heute in den Kupferstichkabinetten und Kunstgewerbemuseen u. a. in Berlin, Breslau und Leipzig archiviert.

He received the silver medal at the „International Art Exhibition“ in Rome,
Many of his etchings (original landscape etchings and lithographs) are now in the
copper engraving cabinets and decorative arts museums, among others. archived in Berlin,
Breslau and Leipzig.
