Magnificent, very beautiful, large Art Nouveau silver
Window enamel – plique-à-jour – pendant
probably by Meyle & Mayer, (attrib.) Pforzheim around 1900,
The depiction in painted enamel is the legendary figure Lohengrin.
The Swan Knight is the title character of Richard Wagner’s popular opera Lohengrin.
The pendant is in restored condition, the trailer eyelet has been reinforced,
because it was broken off. The window enamel was repaired by soldering.
The middle part of the enamel painting is in very good condition,
else the pendant is in good condition, back with remaining gilding. Rare of this kind.
