Antique Art Nouveau Theodor Fahrner Pforzheim Silver Brooch Amethyst c.1910 signed.
A delightful, very beautiful antique large silver Art Nouveau brooch,
circa 1910, by Theodor Fahrner, Pforzheim (attrib.)
centered with a set, cut oval amethyst,
surrounded by cord wire soldering,
surrounded by vine leaves and leaf panicles, with grapes
which, in their design, appear to be freshwater pearls
but are made of silver.
The brooch is elaborately handcrafted in openwork
with a sturdy, solid form, quality workmanship.
The hook clasp was added later
and unfortunately positioned improperly over the hallmark.
I tried as best I could to photograph part of the hallmark
that is still visible;
the design is typical of Theodor Fahrner.
Indistinctly stamped: 935 and TF hallmark
In good, beautiful condition, hook replaced
(Replacement included in the price)
